Experimentation.

After researching the artists work recorded in the previosu post, I was inspired to create similar effects using paper moths. I started out with a simple tutorial:

Whislt making these i found that in some of the earlier stages they looked like moths before they did butterflies, and as the porject is more focused to moths I made some other smaller ones which resembled moths:

I then experimented with colour and pattern. I printed out some black and white images of the Alexander McQueen research by accident so I have used these to create paper moths:

After making these I found that they resembled my original photographs in task #3 of the field trip, to create imagery which symbolized my text:

When it came to sticking the white butterflies in my sketch book I had to flatten them down, luckily this made them look much more like moths.

However I still prefer the new design due to the more intricate detailing.
